Enjoy a free outdoor movie under the stars at The Bay!

Celebrate The Bay’s 3rd Anniversary with films marking milestone anniversaries of their own— like the 50th Anniversary of this cult classic by singing, dancing and doing “The Time Warp” shown at a more reasonable time 🙂 Costumes and park-appropriate props encouraged! Actors from The Sarasota Players will be performing alongside the film as the “shadow cast”.

(R) – Anticipation builds for a naive couple when they stumble upon the sensual and spooky lair of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in this campy rock ‘n’ roll classic.

Important Note: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is not your typical Cinema at The Bay screening— it’s a cult classic celebrated for its outrageous humor and interactive audience traditions. Viewer discretion advised: Movie includes mature themes and irreverent dialogue that may not be suited for everyone.

Prop Etiquette: Part of the fun of The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the use of props. To keep The Bay clean and safe for everyone to enjoy, here are a few friendly reminders:

• This screening may draw a larger crowd, so please arrive early, stay patient, and be kind.
• A limited supply of park-friendly props will be available— come early to grab yours!
• When tossing props, aim to the sides, up, or behind you— never at the screen or cast members.
• Prohibited items: rice, open flames, confetti.
• After the show, please leave The Bay better than you found it. Please clean up your area and the area around you so the park is ready for the next day’s fun.

Come hungry and thirsty! The Nest Café will be serving delicious food, fresh popcorn and refreshing drinks— including a Rocky special, the Time Warp Martini (featuring Blue Curacao, Sweet & Sour, and a photo-worthy surprise!)

Know Before You Go:

• Free parking is located around the site— along Blvd of the Arts and Van Wezel Way, and in front of the Van Wezel, Municipal Auditorium and Blue Pagoda. Please avoid parking in designated Sarasota Orchestra parking areas.
• All pets must be non-aggressive and on a leash at all times. Owners are expected to pick up after their pets.

Please report any risky or unsafe behavior to the Sarasota Non-Emergency Police 24 hours a day (941) 316-1199.

NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, this event will be CANCELLED. Notices will be communicated via The Bay website calendar, Eventbrite, Facebook and Instagram up to one hour before start time as unpredictable Florida weather changes quickly.
