Engage in interactive experiences focused on making a difference on the environment. Good for the planet. Good for everyone. - 11:30am-12:30pm: The Green Benefits of Building Rehabilitation Walking Tour
Join Marty Hylton (President, Architecture Sarasota) for a walk around The Bay to understand the environmental benefits of rehabilitating/ repurposing buildings. - 12:00pm: Earth Day Remarks by City Commissioner Jennifer Ahearn-Koch
- 12:10-1:00pm: Live Music by the Garbage Men Band

Architecture Sarasota: Walk around The Bay to understand the rehabilitation efforts underway and the associated environmental benefits.
Longboat Key Turtle Watch: Learn about the fascinating sea turtle population that call Sarasota home and how you can protect them.
Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium: Discover how scientists restore coral reefs — then try planting coral yourself like a real Mote scientist.
Sarasota Bay Estuary Program: Create a beautiful “sun painting” using cutouts of bay creatures and plants on solar paper.
Sarasota Paradise: Mix, mingle and play with members of Sarasota’s first professional soccer team.
Science and Environment Council: Find out how fertilizer (incl. doggie doo) impacts the environment in surprising and eye-opening ways.
Stocking Savvy: Learn how fish, plants, and smart water management work together to create healthy ponds, wetlands, and thriving habitats.
Games and face painting also part of the good, green, clean fun!

Take Home a FREE Canopy Tree* (10:00am Start)

Share a used book. Reduce waste. Make the world a little greener. Bring gently used books to The Nest Café to be used in one of the FREE lending libraries around the park. In Need of Books for Toddlers thru Grade 8.
Know Before You Go:
- The Bay park address is 1055 Blvd of the Arts, Sarasota FL 34236
- Free parking is located around the site and all parking lots remain open — along Blvd of the Arts and in front of the Van Wezel, Municipal Auditorium and Blue Pagoda. Please avoid parking in designated Sarasota Orchestra parking areas.
- Construction of the new Town Square (located between the Municipal Auditorium and Art Center) is underway and affects pedestrian routes between the parking lot along N. Tamiami Trail and venues west of Van Wezel Way (incl. The Bay park, Van Wezel, and Holley Hall). Signs are posted to direct you between these locations. - All pets must be non-aggressive and on a leash at all times. Owners are expected to pick up after their pets.
