The Bay Recognized with Two Awards
Congratulations to The Bay Park team who have been recognized with two design awards for their work on the Master Plan.
Boston-based SASAKI and Agency Landscape + Planning alongside many local experts that make up The Bay Park’s design team were awarded a 2021 Design Award from the Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. The team was also awarded a 2021 Award of Merit from the Boston Society of Landscape Architects in the Analysis & Planning category.
Jury comments from BLSA stated how they “appreciated the compelling, clear, and lovely drawings, which very successfully expressed the project and its process, particularly in terms of community engagement. In an effort which represents an extraordinary transformation of a challenged community asset, the jury applauded the team’s efforts to pay attention to the whole community; in the end tying together a new, diverse demographic.”
We are privileged to have such a talented design team working on this project – a park that will be free, open and accessible to all.
