From walking to running to watching the sunset – there are many things to do and experience at The Bay, even now while the park is under development. The Community Foundation of Sarasota County is proud to support the development of exciting opportunities that will ensure The Bay Park is going to be welcoming, open, and accessible to everyone in our community.
In this video, Roxie Jerde, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, shares some of the activities she enjoys most when visiting The Bay Park.
It’s a great day at The Bay for these activities & events:
Currently, the western portion of the Mangrove Walkway is open to pedestrians, joggers, and bike riders. To view or download the map, click here.
The Fountain Garden is free and open daily. Sit and relax in one of the benches around the pond, or explore the grounds.
The Bay offers several great spots to watch a spectacular sunset overlooking Sarasota Bay, including the shoreline at the end of Blvd. of the Arts, or from the shoreline along the north section of the Mangrove Walkway near the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
Bay Park Yoga
Every Saturday, from December 2020 – January 2021, Bay Park Yoga will take place at 9:30am in the lawn area between the Mangrove Bayou and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. The sessions are free and open to the public. For more information, visit the Van Wezel’s website.
