What is a Park Conservancy and what does it do?

A Park Conservancy is a not-for-profit that is formed to do 4 things:

  • Provides private nonprofit funding to help with the capital and operating side of the park;
  • Designs and plans the initiative or build-out, such as The Bay’s masterplan;
  • Developing, building, and constructing the park and each phase of it;
  • Manages and operates the park to bring additional support, resources, and services for an enhanced park experience.
