Our Expertise

Our team’s experience includes the design and development of some of the most notable parks across the nation and in Florida. Watch the video below to learn about the parks they have had pivotal roles in managing and developing.

A Three-Way Partnership

Our success is rooted in a 3-way partnership between the City of Sarasota, The Bay Park Conservancy, and our Community. With the community as our foundation and catalyst for growth, the City and the Conservancy will work in tandem to create and realize an unparalleled park on the Sarasota bayfront.

Expert Leadership

Our initiative is strategically lead by experts in their field. With a multi-faceted team leading the designing, planning, and development of the park, The Bay Park will become a fiscally feasible, operationally viable, and environmentally sustainable space for all.

  • The Sasaki Design Team The world-class design and planning team, with a specialty in civic spaces and public parks on waterfronts, has been part of the project since the planning and design phase began. Unlike other firms, our design team will stay as a co-developer of the project throughout the many years of its evolution.
  • Management and Direction Bill Waddill, Chief Implementation Officer of The Bay Park Conservancy, is a designer and developer of parks and public spaces across the nation. He’s worked on successful local community spaces as well including, the Bradenton Riverwalk, Perry Harvey Park in Tampa, Babcock Ranch Town Center in Ft. Myers, and Baker Park in Naples. He is working with the design team to reimagine the future park space. His goal is to ensure the mission of the Conservancy stays rooted with the development of each phase.
  • City Planning and Development Steve Cover, a member of The Bay Park Conservancy Board, is the City of Sarasota’s Planning Director. His focus is on the big picture for city planning, and his expertise will lend a vital perspective to the future planning and development of The Bay Park.
